Bronzeville Community Development Partnership – EV Institute

IACT partnered with the Bronzeville Community Development Partnership (BCDP) to help shape and guide its new initiative, the EV Institute. We assisted with developing connections National Laboratory of the Rockies through its Energy to Communities Program, which provides access to national laboratory experts and customized analysis for community-based organizations, local governments, tribes, and electric utilities to achieve clean energy systems that are reflective of local and regional priorities.

My responsibilities in helping BCDP fulfill the deliverables of the Energy to Communities Program included:

  • Writing formal summaries of each event or webinar
  • Final report development
  • Co-managing webinars through Zoom
  • Graphic design
  • Organic social posts

To develop content, I research present trends and developments, gather in-depth industry knowledge from board and steering members, interview organizational leads, and write informative blogs and story-driven case studies.

Green Drives Conference and Expo

Green Drives is one of the largest clean-transportation conferences held in the Midwest. Government officials, fleet managers, corporate sustainability officers, and other clean-energy professionals attend to about cleaner fuels and technologies, and how to secure funding. Alternative fuel vehicles and associated technologies are also on display outside.

Green Drives Conference & Expo is primarily planned by myself and two others, with support from the board and steering committee.

Annual Meeting and Holiday Reception

The Annual Meeting & Holiday Reception is an opportunity to gather board and steering committee members, sponsors, partner organizations, and select organizations or people who have made major strides in alternative fuel use and emission reduction that year. The coalition reviews its accomplishments, discusses goals for next year, and presents awards. The event is a collaboration between contractors and board and steering committee members.
